The Tingler (1959)

In this B-movie drive-in classic from gimmick king William Castle, Vincent Price plays a scientist who discovers that terror emotions are caused by a spinal-cord parasite he dubs the tingler. After removing a sample from a deaf-mute who has been scared to death by her husband, it gets loose inside a movie theater and runs amok.

Best experienced in a darkened cinema complete with electrified seats, fainting ushers and rubber tinglers, this is still a delight to watch again and again. Vincent gives us his all - as well as cinemažs first LSD trip on screen. Go Vinnie.
