In Irwin Allen's bizarre adaptation of the Henrik Willem Van Loon best-seller, a celestial tribunal (looking like something out of a Lost in Space episode) has been convened to decide the fate of the Earth after the invention of nuclear weapons, with Mr Scratch (Vincent Price) and The Spirit of Man (Ronald Colman) debating if humankind should be allowed to continue or be exterminated. In today's climate, its worthy of a remake.

Vincent is at his leery best as the pantomine devil in disguise, Mr Scratch.
