House on Haunted Hill (1959)

Severed heads, a skeleton, an acid vat, ghostly screams, and a noose that strangles unsuspecting victims are just some of the 13 shocks in store for you in William Castle's gimmicky haunted house thriller that stars Vincent Price in the role that crowned him the Prince of Horror (Karloff was still king at the time).
Here Vinnie plays millionaire playboy Frederick Loren, who invites five guests out to a genuine haunted house (the exterior is Frank Lloyd Wright's magnificent Ennis Brown House in LA - check out the website and help save it), offering them each $10,000 if they spend the night. But Loren's treacherous wife (Carol Ohmart) is also one of the guests and might be out to kill Frederick.
