Never before released, this 29-track cd features music composed by Fly-boys Paul Sawtell and Bert Shefter, with orchestrations by Alfronso D'Artega and edited by Norman Scwartz. A real find, though it would have been nice to hear some vocals from Vinnie. Available from the folks at Monsters in Motion.

At the hands of Alfred Newman, this 1940s gothic romance comes to life through the 28 tracks on this CD for the very first time. In addition, there is a glorious booklet detailing the making of the film and a track by track analysis of Newman's score. Another great gem from the guys at Screen Archives. The music to Darryl F. Zanuck's 1944 production of Wilson was composed by the legendary Alfred Newman and, in addition to the composer's original thematic material, includes several dozen songs from the pre-Great War period. The compact disc has been compiled from the original scoring sessions preserved in the Fox archive and features virtually every note of music that was recorded for the picture. Also available through http://www.screenarchives.com
1963/2000
This music score by Ronald Stein has been lovingly released on CD by producers Bruce Kimmel and Taylor White on a limited pressing of 3000 copies. Soundtrack buffs, this is a must-have. Especially as it includes a bonus track, the Main Title Organ Solo which is truly an 'amusing slice of musical ephemera'. Available through http://www.screenarchives.com

Soundtrack featuring vocals by Paul Frees
Frees does an excellent job impersonating Al Jolson, Chico Marx, Ben Bernie, Ronald Coleman, Humphrey Bogart, Dick Powell, Skinnay Ennis and WC Fields, but Vincent Price is nowhere to be heard.
However, the Dr Phibes and Vulnavia themes are included here (courtesy of Dr Phibes Clockwork Wizards). Thankfully, the full score is now available through Perserverance Records.

Promotional CD 1973
Composed, Orchestrated and Conducted by Michael J Lewis
This is the original score from the Douglas Hickox film and is only available, on limited release (it has been suggested that the composer put them out himself) in the United Kingdom.
Without a doubt a fine score from beginning to end, the haunting main theme is carried throughout and it is very difficult to stop yourself from reciting chunks of the film's dialogue.

Journey into Fear (1975)
From the Legendary Hollywood Series comes North by North, 12 motion picture scores from Alex North. This is followed by the complete, original soundtrack of the 1975 film Journey Into Fear. Although the movie is a dire, convention Canadian remake of Orson Wells' superb noir thriller, the music shows North at his most original, subtle and distinct. Les Baxter's Original Soundtrack
Having set sales records with April in Portugal and Blue Tango, Les Baxter's talent for original sumphonic composition now comes to the fore in this score which the Hollywood Reporter has called "The loveliest since Around the World in 80 Days".
And for anybody into exotica, check out the double CD from those fab people at Capitol Records The Exotic Moods of Les Baxter. Apart the glorious music, the sleeve notes contain some wonderful thank you's to Vincent courtesy of the late composer's daughter, Leslie.

Les Baxter's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack; The Edgar Allan Poe Suite
One of the most exciting soundtracks ever produced, throughout Banshee Baxter's music pulsates, punctuates and sizzles, underlining the weird, frightening and occasionally romantic visuals. The score is, in fact, a textbook example of this particular kind - the kind in which the music is a greatly important factor in manipulating the sensibilities of the viewer. The concert suite derived from the Banshee score enables the listener to appreciate the range of Baxter's skill in this regard, and his considerable talent as an inventor of original musical concepts. His penchant for sound colors finds enormous opportunity in Banshee and his other classic horror scores.
Also included on this album is the fascinating Edgar Allan Poe suite (for the television programme An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe) in which Baxter comes up with an unusual composition of chamber proporations, using a small group of string players and percussionists, with a few electronic touches.
Please note: A CD version is also available through Citadel (STC 77107). As an added bonus, the CD also features the chillingly-brilliant film score composed by the John Cacavas for the 1973 horror film Horror Express starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Telly Savalas.

Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
The much derided film suffers terribly from the musical score.
The Viewers song Monsters Rule OK is the only redeeming feature. As for BA Robertson, UB40, Night and The Pretty Things, their music sucks. And what was John Williams thinking of when he agreed to appear on this travesty? Where's Trent Reznor when you really need him?

Music by Ernest Troost
This action-thriller with comedy horror overtones is a weird little number.
And I cant help feel very sorry for Vincent who is reduced to a mere cameo.
I cannot believe he could not of got better roles and better films.
As for the music. It's generic background ambience. Sorry Ernest!

Elfman may have made a career out of his cartoon-like compositions, but listening to this score will always make me remember Vincent's final scene... an emotional moment for all fans.

Original Soundtrack
This score to Thief and the Cobbler has songs (never intended for the original 1973 concept) and was done well after the deaths of the original cast - including Vincent. As such, it is of very little value as a VP collectable.
