Adventures of Captain Fabian (1951)

Errol Flynn might be the star, but it is Micheline Prelle as the OTT servant girl Lea Marriote, whose thirst for revenge against a wealthy New Orleans family (the Brissacs), which dominates this film. After Fabian defends Lea on a murder charge, she promptly weds the horrible George Brissac (Vincent Price), thereby laying the groundwork for an unhappy finale.

This is an OK adventure. But Flynn if beyond his prime and it's a bit cheap. Price does his usual menancing dandy role, but his death by drowning scene is really worth waiting for.

Stay tuned. A sound clip will appear here soon.
