Beach Party (1963)

In this grand-daddy of all musical surfing movies, Robert Cummins is the bearded anthropologist investigating the wild dating habits of teenagers Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.

American International Pictures homage to the surfin' youths of the era may seem old fashioned today but, hey man, it was hip in its day. And who better to guest star, but the man you were most likely to see when you took your girl out on a date in the hope of getting to first base. Yep! Vincent Price - the big daddy of the drive-ins who has just one line and its great.

Bring me my pendulum, kiddies, I feel like swinging!
